Blackberry 9500 storm was introduced in august, 2008 by blackberry. I like the handset because of its many user friendly applications. I can browse the internet with the help of class 10 GPRS, class 10
EDGE and HSDPA devices provided in the handset. I can also transfer my mobile pictures, wallpapers, ringtones etc. on the computer, thanks due to existence of bluetooth and mini USB on the gadget.

The GPS receiver on the handset with the support of blackberry maps can help you to track down the journey points. The camera function of the gadget is not as impressive as in higher mobiles, which I reviewed. The size of this device is 3.15 mega pixels. The device also has image stabilization, auto focus, LED flash and geo tagging capabilities. The unit apparently looks quite elegant with its 3.25 inches touch screen ,which is of TFT type. The accelerometer sensor attached with the device allows
you to view the images up or down.

I was always looking for the application, that allows me to view the office documents in the handset. Blackberry 9500 Storm has eased my problem with inclusion of document viewer in its database.
The audio player that appears on the widget can play MP3,WMA & eAAC+ music formats. The movie player can play MP4, 3gp, WMV and H.264 videos. Many people like me however are disappointed as the handset do not include the key entertainment function FM radio.

Blackberry 9500 storm allows 1 giga bytes of memory space. If I need disk storage beyond it , then I can use micro SD memory card in the external memory card slot of the widget. The ringtones that can be saved on the widget are of vibration, polyphonic & MP3 formats. The battery that comes with the gadget is standard Li-ion 1400 mAh. This gives fair backup ie., standby time of 360 hours and talktime of 330 minutes.
