The Taiwanese mobile phone manufacturer HTC has announced its results for the first quarter of 2010 recently. According to the report, HTC has sold 37 per cent more in term of volume than what it did in the same period last year.
In actual terms, volumes have increased from about 2.4 to 3.3 million mobile phone handsets. Here, the report did not disclose what the distribution seemed like based on the mobile phone operating system (Android and Windows Mobile).
Compared to last years figures, in pure cash terms the company showed a 19 per cent rise in sales from 31.6 to 37.7 billon Taiwanese dollars for the period January to March 2010.
HTC’s profitability levels hovered between a healthy 14.6 and 18.6 per cent and retained a 14.6 figure. This seen in the light of the fact that its operating income had fallen marginally is very good.
